5TH ANNUAL BASEBALL CLINIC

FOR A fifth CONSECUTIVE YEAR JESÚS LUZARDO & COLTON WELKER, NATIVES OF BROWARD COUNTY, WILL BE HOSTING A BASEBALL CLINIC AT THEIR ALMA MATER STONEMAN DOUGLAS HIGH SCHOOL.

THE CLINIC WILL FOCUS ON BASEBALL FUNDAMENTALS CRUCIAL TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PLAYERS, WHILE ALSO PROVIDING A FUN & ENGAGING ATMOSPHERE.

Jesús Luzardo

Jesús Luzardo is a 25-YEAR-OLD MLB LEFT-HANDED starting pitcher on the Miami Marlins. Jesús was born in Peru to Venezuelan parents and subsequently moved to South Florida at the age of one.

He is a native of Parkland, Florida and attended Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School from 2012 to 2016.

He was drafted in the 2016 MLB Draft out of High School by the Washington Nationals and was later traded to the Oakland Athletics in 2017. After making his professional debut with Oakland, he was traded back home to the Miami Marlins in 2021.

Colton Welker

Colton Welker is a 25-YEAR-OLD MLB infielder in the San Francisco Giants organization. Colton is originally from Coral Springs, Florida and attended Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School from 2012-2016.

He was committed to the university of miami for baseball, but chose to sign with the colorado rockies upon being selected in the 2016 mlb draft.

Being a highly touted prospect in Colorado’s organization, he made his mlb debut with them at the age of 23 in 2021. Now a member of the san francisco giants, he hopes to be a key contributor for them this year.
